Jeremy Drewett
Jeremy Drewett has a BA (Hons) degree in history and is a published author.
My name is Jeremy Drewett and I have a passion for history. I have a BA (Hons) History and have written and had published one historical novel, set in 1180 Japan against a background of real historical events. After 32 years I have retired from the Metropolitan Police in London to persue my passion for writing. Apart from writing novels, I wanted to write short historical articles and share them with like-minded enthusiasts. My goal is simple. I want to improve as a writer, entertain other people and receive constructive criticism or feedback which will help me further improve my skills. I am married to Katherine and we have a black Labrador called 'Jellicoe' and a black cat called 'Ramsey'. For those with a little knowledge of English history you will identify one of my historical passions, the Royal Navy, as both of our pets are named after admirals. My other particular areas of interest apart from the Royal Navy 1850 to 1950 are Victorian Britain and European history, the Samurai, military history and the American civil war. Please enjoy my articles.
